Week 4 NFL picks: Bye Weeks begin: End of September!!!

My picks for Week 4of the NFL season (based on my thoughts, my research and what I think ONLY!):

Disclamer: These are my picks and opinions only. If you make picks and/or bet money, favors or whatever based on what is listed below with whomever or wherever, that is on you. If you win, great! Let me know (or even send me a small cut of the profits...lol!) If not, don't bitch. These picks does have 50/50 odds. Better than the lottery. If some team chokes a game due to..whatever...not my fault. I will be mad too. Maybe!
Disclaimer done: Let the games begin!

Starting tonight, the bye weeks begin. Fantasy football players, be sure to double check your leagues so that all of your spots are covered!

Bye teams:
Carolina (1-2): They are trying to build a better team, but are still a ways from that point. This team should have beat Seattle in Week 1. They could have been 3-0 right now. Was the thrashing of the Giants an aberration or a sign of momentum? Time will tell. I don't see them upsetting teams in division and making the playoffs, but a 7-9 finish would be helpful. A winning record would be even better.

Green Bay (1-2): These Packers are still tough, but the inconsistent running game is hurting them earlier than usual this year. Rodgers is great, and the defense is good…BUT you need more than that to win in the playoffs. They are already down 2 games to Chicago and one to Detroit in the standings. Not good. I am not saying they must run the table to make the playoffs YET…but I would be worried if the Pack doesn't get on a run starting next week, especially if Chicago wins and goes to 4-0.

Week 4 Games:
San Francisco at St. Louis: Thursday night on NFL Network: Niners are in trouble. Two straight *********** on major TV and the situation with Aldon Smith is threatening the NFC champs’ season. It is only Week 4 but you already down 2 games in your division (technically 3). Lose on the road to the Rams and you are in trouble like Green Bay, who you did beat. Rams are better than advertised, but are young. Jeff Fisher is the right coach for this team, but the players need to dig deep for that big division win, especially at home, NOW, if they want to make a playoff run this year. The 49ers are prime for a upset, so your time is NOW! Go get it!
Upset Special 1!
St. Louis 24 San Francisco 23

Cincinnati at Cleveland: The Bengals are on fire! Huge win over the Packers at home. But now you have to prove you can win on the road and in your division. Cleveland’s shocking trade was followed by a upset win last week. Do it again and the Browns will be showing they are here to win now and not just wait until 2014 or beyond. This fan base needs wins NOW! Beating a undefeated team at home, in division will help a lot. I didn’t have faith last week. Now I do, and I love a good underdog!
Upset Special 2!

Browns 28 Bengals 27

Dallas at San Diego: Dallas sucks. Period. But so does the entire NFC East. The AFC West is wearing you guys out. Dallas should have beat KC. I am not convinced they can beat the Chargers in SD. Chargers, you choked on MNF, but showed heart in getting by Philly on the road 6 days later. But as we know now, Philly has no D. Dallas has some D, but like to choke games a lot. If the Chargers want to stay close in the playoff/division race, they must win this game! Dallas can survive losing this one…but no more.
Chargers 27, Cowboys 25

New York Jets at Tennessee:  The Jets are lucky to be 2-1. If they had better O around Geno Smith, they would be 3-0 and up on the Patriots right now. Rex Ryan is coaching for his job and he had better keep winning by any means necessary. Sanchez getting hurt may be the thing that helps the Jets all year…and I hate to admit it. Tennessee is doing similar things. They need this win to keep up with the Colts and Texans. Both have already choked games they should have won. If the Titans want to crash the playoff party, keep doing what you are doing and win! Taking the home team.
Titans 27 Jets 24 (OT)

Pittsburgh at Minnesota from London: I am sure the NFL was hoping these teams would have been doing better than this when this games was scheduled for London’s annual regular season game. Oops! Pittsburgh is proud, but they are done. They do not have the horses to make a run for the playoffs, but they can screw with other contenders. The Vikings are mostly done. 0-3 almost always means no playoffs. But miracles can happen, especially with Peterson at RB. Are they changing starting QBs for this game? Brady seems to think so. At this point, whatever it takes to get a win (that is legal), do it! Lose this game, Vikings, and you might as well not come back to the States…lol!
Minnesota 27 Pittsburgh 23

Arizona at Tampa Bay: The Bucs are looking like what the Jets were in preseason. Not good. I know this team is not a contender, but it is too early to have this much drama, south of DC and NYC…lol. Get it together! Arizona, another long trip to the East Coast and your best player is already beat up. I have to take TB at home, but a tie wouldn’t surprise me.
Tampa Bay 20 Arizona 17

Chicago at Detroit: The Bears are 3-0, Detroit is 2-1. The Bears need to show they can be as effective on the road as they have been at home. Last week’s win is a start, but doing it in division is more impressive. Detroit, you finally broke the losing streak at Washington. Barely. If this had been last year’s team, Detroit would have lost by 20. Now you are at home facing the toughest defense you may face all year (sorry GB). Find ways to score to stay in and hope your D can cause the Bears offense to start screwing up like they did at times last year. That will get you a huge win and into 1st place (tie). You won’t get another shot later. Hope that new kicker is better at home.

Upset Special 3!

Lions 23 Bears 20

New York Giants at Kansas City:  This game will be nasty. Can Eli start playing like playoffs Eli and not befuddled regular season Eli? Not this week, not this YEAR! Winning in KC is tough, even when they suck (my Raiders did it last year, though!). KC is undefeated and has a better coach who knows the Giants very very well. Giants will be 0-4. KC will not choke this one. Giants, who is your backup QB? Better get him ready now!
Chiefs 30 Giants 17

Seattle at Houston: This could be trouble for Houston. After what the Ravens did to you….now you get Seattle. Playing them in Reliant Stadium may be the only chance you have. If the Texans that came back on the Chargers on MNF show up, beware Seattle! If not, Seattle should win…as long as it not the one that played at Carolina Week 1. Tossup game. Minor upset: Houston steals this win at home
Texans 30 Seahawks 28

Baltimore at Buffalo: Ugh! Buffalo will have issues here. The Ravens offense is hurting with wideouts and all-world RB Ray Rice hurting and/or out, but they still have Flacco and they still have D, which has been Raven-like the last two weeks after the Denver beatdown. Buffalo is not Denver. Sorry. You lose.
Ravens 23 Bills 13

Philadelphia at Denver:  Philly only wins this game if: they win the time of possession 40 minutes-plus to less than 20 AND if they knock Peyton Manning out of the game EARLY. Philly has the pass rush to worry Denver. Too bad they don’t have anything else. They can’t control the clock like that, and that high altitude will slow down that run and shoot-like offense. Manning will eat these guys for dinner. He has to, because they must keep up with KC. Good luck, Eagles.
Broncos 34 Eagles 13

Indianapolis at Jacksonville: This is a classic trap game. Colts coming East after a huge win at San Francisco. Jaguars coming home after spending the last two weeks out West losing at Oakland and Seattle. If the Jaguars want to avoid 0-16, this is the game they must win. Colts better TCB in this one, or it will bite them, now and later!
Colts 23 Jaguars 21

Washington at Oakland: Well, this is an interesting one. Oakland was beaten by Denver on the road on MNF, but it wasn’t the crushing that folks expected. 1 total turnover for the game. Really? QB Terrell Pryor may be out for this game after a concussion suffered in the closing minutes, but Matt Flynn is ready to show what he can do, and this may be the perfect week for it. The Redskins are 0-3, but RGIII is improving. Too bad we cannot say the same for his young and not that talented WR/TE core. The Washington defense is close to being the worst in the NFL, if they are not already. I am worried that Griffin may get hurt on this field, since it is still in baseball mode, but that Oakland D could do the same to him or backup Kirk Cousins, field notwithstanding. Again, Oakland has no expectations this year and nothing to lose. Oakland can score points, even against a good Denver and Indianapolis defense. Washington cannot stop anyone, nor control the clock, even with their decent running game behind Morris and a knee-braced RGIII. The Skins D cannot stop McFadden or the fast Oakland wideouts for 60 minutes. If Pryor plays, with him running the Raider version of the read-option will kill these Redskins on the ground. Oakland is averaging well over 150 yards rushing a game and McFadden isn’t lighting it up yet. Redskins will be 0-4. Let’s hope the Redskins get it together after the bye. It won’t happen this Sunday.
Raiders 30 Redskins 20.

New England at Atlanta: Sunday Night on NBC: This game will be fun. This will be all about the defenses here. Atlanta’s lack of a finishing game is clear. The Patriots get by because of Brady, even with no other real offensive weapons, so 3-0 is no surprise. If the Gronk returns for this one, the Pats will roll. If not, Atlanta has the passing game to beat a depleted Pats offense. Neither team has a running game, it is indoors and it is on Sunday Night! Take the over on total (passing yards) for a single game.
Falcons 25 Patriots 23

Monday Night Football on ESPN. Note the 830pm start time.
Miami at New Orleans: This is unexpected. Both teams are 3-0. MNF at the Superdome is always a fun time, especially lately.  Miami is better than one thought, but that won’t be enough to beat Drew Brees and these Saints at home, especially with Sean Payton back on the sidelines. Sorry.
Saints 31 Dolphins 24

Think my picks suck? Send me a reply and tell me why! Good luck to everyone.

Record: 23-25 after 3 weeks, 1-1 on bonus picks: Total 24-26 overall. Dead even. Don’t worry…it will get better.

My NFL picks for Week 3: Enjoy!

My picks for Week 3 of the NFL season (based on my thoughts, my research and what I think ONLY!):
Disclamer: These are my picks and opinions only. If you make picks and/or bet money, favors or whatever based on what is listed below with whomever or wherever, that is on you. If you win, great! Let me know (or even send me a small cut of the profits...lol!) If not, don't bitch. These picks does have 50/50 odds. Better than the lottery. If some team chokes a game due to..whatever...not my fault. I will be mad too. Maybe!
Disclaimer done: Let the games begin!
Kansas City at Philadelphia: Thursday night on NFL Network: I remembered to get this posted this week before the game was played. Celebrate. Anyway, watch this game. Why? Andy Reid goes back East with his new team to face his old team in Philly. It will be entertaining. More importantly, unless these teams meet in pre-season or in the Super Bowl (very unlikely!), this will not happen again for 4 years (per the current scheduling plan), so watch it! The Chiefs have the weapons on both sides of the ball to control this so-called high-speed offense of the Eagles. It’s called ball control on offense (run the ball, play action passing and move the chains) and keep Vick, Jackson and friends off the field. On defense, KC has some playmakers there too. Plus, Philly’s D kind of…sucks. They let the Redskins get 27 and SD, who had to come cross-country on a short week after blowing a big lead and losing on MNF to get ahead, score 33 and beat the Eagles in Philly? Oregon’s D wasn’t that great either under Kelly and they are worse here. Reid forgot more about coaching than Kelly ever will know. I hate to do it, but KC goes to 3-0 (before they start the meat of their schedule and reality sets in). Philly, giving up an average of  30 points a game means you lose most of the time (if not almost every time). Think about it.
Kansas City 34 Philadelphia 24
Green Bay at Cincinnati: The Bengals are building a nice team here. They had a fight on Monday night with a proud but nearly decimated Steelers team, but won at home. Green Bay is a lot better than Pittsburgh. Even on the road. These Bengals may well be a factor for a AFC North or a wild-card berth, but they are a LONG way from being able to smack down Rodgers and the Pack. Anywhere. Sorry.
Packers 28 Bengals 17
St. Louis at Dallas: Dallas sucks. Period. You get 7 turnovers at home versus the Giants and you only win by 5? WTF? You play better at KC, but you only score 17 and choke? WTF? Did Romo really deserve that extension now when you have so many other holes to fix and Romo is honestly not that much better than Sanchez in the grand scheme of things? NO. The Rams are a dangerous sleeper team who nearly took out Atlanta. You have to protect your house a lot better than this, and win the winnable road games. I have no faith in Romo, or Garrett, or your D and especially not Jerry Jones, no matter how young his brain supposedly is. Records say it all. Jeff Fisher is no pushover, and neither are the rams. Rams win.
Upset Special 1: Rams 27, Cowboys 25
San Diego at Tennessee:  San Diego’s D is as bad and Philly’s. They are lucky to have one win. Tennessee has been playing tough and gritty, but they should have beat Houston. Any team with a healthy Chris Johnson is a challenge. However, the Chargers have not had much heart for years and that hurts. This is their second trip cross country in the first three weeks. San Diego got lucky once. Cannot see it happening back-to-back weeks unless the Titans give another one away.
Titans 27 Chargers 24 (OT)
Cleveland at Minnesota: Cleveland is not looking good. Now Weeden is out with a injury and they are starting a no-name guy I never heard of over veteran Jason Campbell. I know Campbell has a lot of history, but is he really that bad? Doesn’t matter now, since the Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Colts for their 1st round pick in 2014 tonight (Wednesday). WTF? Cleveland is now all in for 2014. 2013 season is over….now. Anyway, this is Minnesota with a healthy Peterson at home and an apparently dangerous return game again. At least Cleveland doesn’t have to worry about getting rained on this week. Enjoy it now, for by the time Cleveland sees this team again in four years (assuming the game is here and not in Cleveland), Minnesota may have an outdoor stadium again and that may help them a lot, especially late in the year. The Vikings already have two division losses. Go 0-3 and your season is basically over. But that won’t happen…will it? Hell, no!
Minnesota 27 Cleveland 13
Tampa Bay at New England: This is a potential upset game here. Tampa scored more points in their loss at the Jets in Week 1 as New England put up in their win over the same Jets 4 days later. NE needs some receiver help now. Rob Gronkowski is coming, but he is 50-50 for this game. I don’t think he plays. NE should be able to get this win…but…I am kind of worried. This is no gimme, and the game time temp won’t be under 32 degrees. Brady and his young replacement skill players better play better than last week or they will suffer many upset losses this year, with or without the Gronk. Regardless of the other off-field stuff that was out of their control, NE should have kept Welker.
New England 24 Tampa Bay 20
Arizona at New Orleans: Arizona has a serviceable QB now, but their best offensive weapon is hobbled and this team has little else. If not for Detroit’s penchant for stupid plays at the wrong time, Arizona would be 0-2. Drew Brees is not putting up Brees-like numbers yet, but this is the Saints with head coach Sean Payton back on the sidelines. That is trouble for the entire NFC. Atlanta couldn’t beat this team in the Superdome with better weapons on both sides of the ball (their penchant for choking there notwithstanding). What chance does the Cardinals have unless Brees throws 5 INTs and three are pick-sixes? None. (Oh and Drew? No more of those pick-sixes, please. You cost me a lot of points and a win in my league last week. Thanks!)….lol.
Saints 33 Cardinals 17
New York Giants at Carolina:  This game will be nasty. Can Eli start playing like playoffs Eli and not befuddled regular season Eli? I know big bro stuck it up your rear…again. But this team is 0-2. You need to turn on desperate playoff Eli NOW. If it wasn’t for Dallas and Philly choking last week, your team’s season would be all but done now. You really think the entire division will lose again this week? It could happen, but I wouldn’t depend on it. Lose this one and the Giants are done…period. Carolina…you are already done. Newton, you and that D need to learn how to close out games and step on the throat when leading. You should be 2-0 right now. Atlanta and New Orleans will not wait for you to catch up. Sorry.
Giants 27 Panthers 14
Atlanta at Miami: This could be trouble for Atlanta. This is their first outdoor game and they already had two hard games indoors to start. Roddy White is barely playing (as he is now benched in my fantasy football league) and I am worried about these Falcons. You are already down a division (road) loss to the Saints. You fall further behind in the standings this early, and you will not catch up, and a wild-card is no sure thing. We already know you suck on the road in the playoffs (well, honestly, you suck EVERYW/HERE in the playoffs), so get it going now. Miami, you upset the Colts on the road. Good. Now upset the Black Dirty Birdies at home and get that moribund fan base excited again for the first time….in a LONG while.
 Falcons 30 Dolphins 28
Buffalo at the New York Jets: Ugh! 1st battle of the rookie QBs. Buffalo has more viable weapons, but Geno is making more mistakes than Manuel. This game will be a toss-up. A tie is not inconceivable here. The winner stays in the hunt to possibly steal this division if the Patriots really falter later, which I fear will occur. Got to take Buffalo, but  I would not be surprised by any result here, other than a blowout.
Bills 23 Jets 20 (OT).
Houston at Baltimore:  Houston survived twice already. But giving your fan-base heart attacks the first two weeks is not good, even when you win both games. The Ravens are still shaky, but they are tough to beat at home. Denver lucked out on that one. Houston, you have problems and I do not think you can beat the champs, even if Ed Reed dresses this week. Your division is better than you think and you need to keep winning and get that home-field advantage for the playoffs. You cannot win every game at the gun. Baltimore will not let that happen.
Ravens 27 Texans 25
Indianapolis at San Francisco: Must watch TV. Luck versus Colin K. Tonight’s surprise trade that brings former Browns 2012 1st round pick Trent Richardson here makes this more interesting. But like a few other dome teams, this is the Colts’ first road game, first outdoor game, plus a cross-country trip. That spells bad news for the Colts. Richardson will be okay with outdoors, but he will not have time to learn the Colts system, much less players to matter but so much this week, unless someone messes up.  Luck is good. Colin is good, too. But the Niners have better overall D and they protect their house better than most teams not named Baltimore, New England, Chicago or dare I say…Seattle? Luck and these Colts will learn how to win these tough road games. It just won’t be this week.
49ers 33 Colts 28

Detroit at Washington: This will be a fun game, but a must-win for both teams. RGIII has to get off to a better start this week at home. More importantly, the Redskins D must be far better than it was the first two weeks. You cannot allow 30-plus points every week, even if the offense puts you in a hole a lot. You have to stop the opposition. Detroit, as usual, needs to learn how to finish. Unfortunately, this, like for a few other teams is their first outdoor game. And I don’t have to start on the Lions have difficulty winning versus the Redskins anywhere. Detroit has that great D line to slow down the running game…if they can stop with the stupid penalties (Suh!!!!) The Redskins cannot afford a 0-3 start, even in the woeful NFC East, but then, Detroit cannot afford another conference loss to put them further behind the 2-0 Bears. So they must beat history. Is Stafford and Calvin Johnson enough, especially if Reggie Bush is not able to perform? If the Redskins of the last two weeks shows up, yes. If the Redskins of last year finally appears, probably not. I am going to go with history…and hope. Redskins by a nose at home.
Redskins 28 Lions 27.
Jacksonville at Seattle: The only smart thing the Jaguars did was to not fly home after losing at Oakland, knowing they had to come back West to face Seattle. That saved a lot of wear and tear on the plane and on the team. That might get them an extra 3 points this week. With that said, this game will not be close, unless the Seahawks that played in Carolina two weeks ago shows up. With this home field advantage and after what they did to their rivals after the storm delay last Sunday night, who wants to go to Seattle for a game? NOBODY!
Seahawks 38 Jaguars 12
Chicago at Pittsburgh: Sunday Night on NBC: This game will be boring. This is all about the defenses here. How did the Steelers get prime time games back-to-back, and weren’t even a playoff team last year??? Whatever. Pittsburgh is done after this one unless they pull out a miracle here…or Jay Cutler goes into stupid mode...possible, but not likely this early. Bears win and go to 3-0, but they better find some more scoring fast.
Bears 25 Steelers 15
Monday Night Football on ESPN. Note the 830pm start time.
Oakland at Denver Okay, everyone thinks Denver crushes another one this week. Here is why that does not happen. 1) Denver is coming back from New York after winning the Manning Bowl (Peyton wins again) 2) They are overlooking the Raiders. 3) Manning is one good hit away from being down and out, which will crush the Broncos. The Giants came fairly close on that. 4) The Raiders have nothing to lose, and have an extra day to prepare and don’t have to travel that far. 4) Crazy **** does happen on MNF, even on the potential snooze-fest games. 5) ESPN needs the ratings. 6) If Oakland keeps it close and it comes down to Janikowski kicking to win the game…you want to bet against him kicking in Denver from any distance under 65 yards, especially if there is a tailwind? I didn’t think so.
UPSET SPECIAL 2!
Raiders 31 Broncos 28
Think my picks suck? Send me a reply and tell me why! Good luck to everyone.

Record: 15-16 after 2 weeks, 1-1 on bonus picks: Total 16-17 overall. Don’t worry…it will get better.

My picks for Week 2 of the NFL season (based on my thoughts, my research and what I think ONLY!):
Disclamer: These are my picks and opinions only. If you make picks and/or bet money, favors or whatever based on what is listed below with whomever or wherever, that is on you. If you win, great! Let me know (or even send me a small cut of the profits...lol!) If not, don't bitch. These picks does have 50/50 odds. Better than the lottery. If some team chokes a game due to..whatever...not my fault. I will be mad too.
Disclaimer done: Let the games begin!

New York Jets at New England: Thursday night on NFL Network: I forgot to post this pick before the game, but I would have chosen the Patriots in a blowout. Well, that didn't happen, rain notwithstanding. Brady needs some real receivers, especially now with Amendola now out with injury for a while. This season, Brady will show why he is a future Hall of Famer if he can get this weak bunch of receivers and running backs into the playoffs. Should have kept Welker. Hope the Gronk gets back real soon! Geno Smith may be a good QB...in 5 years. Sanchez..probably never. Take your money, sit on the bench, rehab that shoulder and wait till next year...and hope another team gives you a shot. Oh, and lose that headband! You look like a total p***y! I cannot believe he is Latino...wow!
New England 13 New York Jets 10. Final

Miami at Indianapolis The Colts barely got by Oakland at home. Miami had real trouble with Cleveland on the road. But they both won. This game will be a snoozer, except for Andrew Luck. This is a game that the Colts have to win, being at home. Miami, did Wallace even play last week? Many NFL teams are better than Cleveland. You spent all that money, you need to get him involved. This is why Miami has not mattered since I was a young adult. That won't change this week nor this year. Miami needs more help, but are they on the right track? Time will tell.
Colts 28 Dolphins 21
Carolina at Buffalo: Both teams are a mess. Newton needs to show he has game NOW..or he may have to go and his head coach with him. Did Seattle's O not fly East last week...or does Carolina actually have a good D? Won't find out this week. Buffalo almost upset NE last week. The game is 60 minutes, guys. Manuel seems to have some game. If Buffalo wants to make noise, he needs some help on both sides of the ball NOW. Cannot choke home games, especially in division or in conference. Lesson to both teams.
Panthers 27, Bills 24
Tennessee at Houston: Pittsburgh has fallen hard and fast, and their injuries probably has finished their season before it got started. Houston got away with one on Monday night/Tuesday am. That game was worth staying up late for...sort of. But it was San Diego. Now, this is a division game so Houston better get serious. See above. Titans, you want to be in the mix? Win this game, somehow!
Titans 27 Texans 24 (OT)
Detroit at Arizona Detroit got a big division win at home, despite Suh's stupidity (AGAIN!). Arizona is dangerous, but Bush and Calvin Johnson is too much for them to handle. If Detroit's D can remain disciplined...and double Fitzgerald all day, Detroit can be 2-0 and up two on GB if they lose. If Detroit wants to return to the playoffs, this is a must-win game. Besides, you have to win every game in a dome to have a chance. Seriously. Bruce Arians, I am glad you got a HC job after the job you did as a interim coach in Indy...but sorry. No love for Carson Palmer. You lose again.
Detroit 34 Arizona 23
St. Louis at Atlanta: Atlanta is pissed for losing...but it was NO....on the road. But you had a chance to win and you blew it! Thanks Ryan, Julio and Roddy for the low points in my fantasy football! St. Louis is dangerous, has weapons and some D and Jeff Fisher is a damn good coach. Better than Mike Smith without question. And this game is in a dome. I have to take the Rams in a upset. Rans, see my notes on Detroit. Same goes for you. Win all the games in domes and you could be a playoff team. Atlanta 0-2? Your season could be over if you lose this game. Period.
St. Louis 24 Atlanta 23
Minnesota at Chicago: Peterson is a beast. If anyone will break Dickerson’s rushing yards record, it will be him. But not this year. Tough loss at Detroit. Peterson needs help! 2000 rushing yards does not equal 11 wins alone. Needs some passing, need some D. Allowing 34 points means a loss. Lose at Chicago (be glad it is not December) and you are done. 0-2 to start, 0-2 in your division, even with Green Bay already 0-1...means no playoffs. Period. Bears got a good win, but it was at home. Got to win the home games. Got to win the division games too. 2-0 and ahead of GB and Minnesota? That is big. But...better find some consistent points fast or you won't keep up with Detroit. Detroit is better. Chicago, Minnesota and GB is not. Beware the Lions.
 Bears 24 Vikings 21.
Dallas at Kansas City: KC is tough at home. Usually.  Even without the additions they have and new coach Andy Reid. KC won last week...vs Jacksonville who only got 2 points. So? Should have been 28-0 or more. Dallas...finally beat the Giants at home. But needed 7 turnovers, mostly self induced ones to do it. But winning by only 5 points? At home? Not good. KC is better than Jacksonville, but they are not the Giants. I pray for a tie, because I hate them both! Reality, Dallas chokes a few, and this will be one of them. I hope Romo wears extra pads.
Chiefs 27 Cowboys 24
San Diego at Philadelphia This will be a war. But take the under on points. You know the players. You know the stats. After Monday's choke job and a cross country trip, there is no way San Diego wins. Philly, your fast break offense may be good, but you need to play 60 minutes and develop a better run-out-the-clock offense. And protect Vick better. Redskins almost came back and beat you after you went up 33-7 (should have been 40-0!). Inexcusable! Get some better D! Rivers is not RGIII. Chargers can hit, though. Thank goodness this is not December. Philly fans are harsh and have no respect for any opponents. No iceballs at opposing assistants this time. Philly wins.
Eagles 30 Chargers 24
New Orleans at Tampa Bay The Saints did what they had to and got by Atlanta. Tampa is not as good at the Falcons (when they are on their game). Bucs had no excuse for choking to the Jets due to one late hit. Revis Island was okay..but rusty. Saints win this game, go to 2-0 in division and overall. That might mean playoffs if you keep winning. Period.
Saints 28 Buccaneers 21
Cleveland at Baltimore  Both teams are 0-1. Ravens are better...are at home and have had a lot more time off to prepare for this game. Sorry, Cleveland you are not ready for the defending champs. Pittsburgh maybe...not Baltimore.
Ravens 27 Browns 17

Denver at the New York Giants: Manning Bowl III:  Peyton will not throw for 7 TDs two games in a row...unless the Giants have 7 turnovers again. If this game were in December in New York, Peyton would fold up if there is cold and/or windy weather. But it is September. Oh, well. Peyton is never as good outside a dome nor away from home. Letdown here. Giants have D, a QB, but a joke of a running game, which is vital to keep Peyton off the field. This will be close. I hope for Eli to win, but..I will not be surprised if Peyton goes to 3-0 vs little bro. All I can say...don't get Peyton hurt...for Denver knows who is next a week from Monday. I am so.....serious. If Peyton goes down...season over. But then again...same for Eli and the Giants. Seriously.
New York Giants 33 Denver 30 (OT)

Washington at Green Bay This will be a fun game. RGIII vs Rodgers will be a challenge. Both are 0-1 and must win. GB is in worse trouble than Washington as of today. The Redskins can come back from 0-2 and get a wild-card and maybe the division. Remember last year?
Green Bay cannot unless Chicago and Detroit choke this week. Down 2 games in the NFC North? Means game over...even for Green Bay. The mystique of Lambeau Field is not what it used to be. GB has no running game. Washington does..even without counting Griffin. Pick 'em game. I take Washington for they have the running game to control the clock, which is how you beat Rodgers if you cannot score 40-plus points. Shanahan is a idiot, but he does know how to use a running game. But the Redskins also has a injured  kicker. Let's hope he only has to kick extra points. If he has to kick a FG to win, especially over 50 yards....I am not betting on him. Bet on lots of yards, but not a lot of points.

Jacksonville at Oakland The Raiders almost upset the Colts on the road. We don't suck that bad, haters. Told you. Terrelle Pryor leads the NFL in rushing yards. What? Jacksonville looked dead last week vs KC. They will be dead after this game. Gabbert is out with a thumb injury too. I don't see Pryor running for over 100 yards again...but the Raiders will win. Don't look ahead to Denver, but practice hitting QBs hard and running the ball a lot. We need McFadden running to beat the Broncos. Enough this week, need more next Monday.

San Francisco at Seattle: Sunday Night on NBC: This is the game to watch on Sunday. You know the players and the stats. Colin K will be great. But the Niners have better overall D and a better RB. Seattle needs to do a lot better than 12 points to win this game.  This should be a Week 16/17 matchup, not week 1. Oh well. SF wins because of my Kappa brother Colin K (some of you may understand the reference. If not, message me and I will explain). Wilson doesn't have enough offensive help to keep up, even if they did have Harvin ready now..

Monday Night Football on ESPN. Note the 830pm start time.
Pittsburgh at Cincinnati Pittsburgh is screwed. Cincinnati had better take advantage in a even division where all 4 teams lost last week. I am not sure the Steelers can score TDs unless it comes from the D or special teams. Steelers D is not that good anymore. Sorry.
